Steve Laird
Steve joined the Florida Gulf & Atlantic Railroad (FGA) in August of 2022 and is responsible for Commercial & Business Development activities.
Prior to joining FGA, Steve spent 4-1/2 years with Genesee & Wyoming Railroad Services with sales & marketing responsibility for a select group of railroads in both the Coastal and Southern Regions. This was his first exposure in the unique short line industry, providing diverse and valuable experience across all departments.
Before entering the short line industry, Steve spent 16 years with CSX Transportation primarily in marketing roles across a variety of business units including Paper & Forest, Aggregates, Metals, and Machinery.
Prior to entering the rail industry, Steve spent 14 years in the metals distribution industry, working in a variety of Commercial roles for a leading steel service center.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
