Christina Roberts
Christina has an extensive background in short line railroad accounting and cash management, with a career spanning 15 years. Before joining Gulf and Atlantic Railways in July 2023 as VP of Accounting, she held a significant leadership position as the Treasurer at Patriot Rail Company LLC.
Her journey at Patriot Rail Company LLC showed her progression through various accounting and cash management roles. She took on increasingly challenging responsibilities, evolving from an Accounting Manager to Director of Accounting and subsequently to an Assistant Controller. Finally, she reached the executive leadership level as the Treasurer, showcasing her strategic financial management capabilities.
Before her tenure at Patriot Rail Company LLC, Christina started her career in the short line railroad industry as a Staff Accountant at RailAmerica. She steadily climbed the ranks, achieving the position of GL Accounting Manager. However, her time at RailAmerica was marked by changes due to the company’s acquisition by Genessee and Wyoming. This transition led to the relocation of the GL Accounting department to New York.
Christina’s experience in various accounting and cash management roles, combined with her leadership positions, makes her a valuable addition to Gulf and Atlantic Railways, where she is tasked with overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, and Financial Controls. Her extensive background and progression within the industry demonstrate her ability to adapt to evolving challenges and contribute to the financial success of the organizations she has been a part of.
